Job Description Summary

The Field Support Engineer will provide in-depth technical and customer support for BD Parata’s suite of pharmacy automation products. The role involves regional travel to deliver industry‑leading support and service to pharmacies across multiple environments. The position includes customer‑facing duties, problem resolution, and collaboration with national service teams.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver world‑class customer service and problem resolution at client sites.

Maintain positive customer relations by responding to complaints and inquiries collaboratively.

Ensure customer satisfaction and uptime by maintaining equipment and preventing issues.

Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of BD Parata’s pharmacy automation products.

Respond within SLA to break/fix service requests.

Collaborate with regional and national service teams to resolve complex problems.

Assist Product Implementation Team with installations of new automation.

Document issues and resolution actions in Salesforce Field Service Lightning.

Provide product and service feedback to management and engineering.

Travel outside local region, overnight stays, and occasional weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma plus 3‑5 years of field service experience.

Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems (2000 to 11).

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Extensive knowledge of basic computer networking, including use of Windows tools to diagnose network and PC information.

Knowledge of router and switch setup and use.

Ability to locate and edit configuration and XML files within a file structure.

Understanding of ghosting and re‑imaging processes.

Strong mechanical proficiency and the ability to disassemble and reassemble complex subsystems using standard hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in STEM or a technical field.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Field work in pharmacy settings involving long standing, walking and manipulation of equipment.

Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.

Must stand for up to 10–12 hours on occasion.

Daily car travel is required; occasional air travel possible. Travel may average four hours per day with varying drive times.

Salary Range

USD $21.60 – $33.60 per hour.
