Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Portfolio includes ground-up developments and tenant improvements across diverse commercial sectors. Working closely with property owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to bring visions to life - on time, on budget, and above expectations.
Position Overview The Project Accountant will play a critical role in supporting both project-level accounting and corporate accounting functions. This position will partner closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and the Controller to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, job cost tracking, and billing. The ideal candidate has a solid background in construction accounting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and process owner billings, subcontractor pay applications, change orders, and lien waivers
Maintain accurate job cost records and monitor budget vs. actual reports for assigned projects
Support project teams in tracking committed costs, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with contract terms
Manage AP/AR functions related to construction projects, including invoice coding, payment processing, and collections follow-up
Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Collaborate with the Controller on corporate-level accounting needs, including general ledger entries and reporting
Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
Provide timely and professional communication with project managers, subcontractors, and clients
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–5 years of project accounting experience in the construction industry
Proficiency in Sage 300 CRE strongly preferred
Proficiency in Procore strongly preferred
Strong understanding of job cost accounting, AP/AR, and financial reporting
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
