Recruitment Specialist @ CSS Scientific | Bridging Science & Talent We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Superintendent to lead the onsite operations of complex construction projects, particularly in controlled environments such as cleanrooms and metrology laboratories. This permanent, direct-hire position is based in Cincinnati, OH and plays a critical role in coordinating field activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring jobsite safety, and delivering projects that meet high standards of quality and precision.
Compensation:
$100,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Site Superintendent:
Lead onsite administrative and technical management of construction projects
Coordinate day-to-day operations and subcontractor activities
Serve as the primary point of contact between the site and project stakeholders
Maintain accurate field communication and documentation using Procore or similar software
Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with all safety policies
Manage quality control processes and ensure high standards of fit and finish
Track daily subcontractor labor and equipment hours
Submit timely job reports, mark-up as-built drawings, and maintain updated schedules
Oversee the delivery, storage, and efficient use of project materials
Assist in the selection and oversight of various subcontracted trades
Solve field coordination and construction issues
Ensure site cleanliness and adherence to clean construction protocols
Facilitate project planning including labor, materials, and equipment needs
Contribute to strong project closeouts and client satisfaction
Qualifications and Skills for the Site Superintendent:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Experience with Procore or other construction management software
Excellent problem-solving capabilities under pressure
Knowledge of construction methods, technologies, and safety regulations
Ability to manage multiple trades and ensure on-time project delivery
HVAC knowledge preferred
Willingness to travel or stay onsite for extended periods as needed
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in construction supervision, ideally in cleanroom or lab environments
Certifications and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Site Superintendent License or Contractor’s License preferred
OSHA 30 certification preferred
