Overview Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal CONOPS Support Engineer. What You’ll Get to Do
Program/System Level role within Directorate of Engineering.
Work to develop an extremely complex, large-scale system, comprised of multiple segments, some of which are mature and some are emerging technologies.
Gather information from various stakeholders, and communicate the vision for the operational system to the user, acquisition, and development communities with quantitative and qualitative system metrics.
Partner with teams within each Segment, and use MBSE and other tools to maintain, update, and refine CONOPS as the development lifecycle progresses.
This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area.
This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s degree, 3 years with Master’s degree, or 0 years with PhD.
Experience with ConOps and constraints development.
Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR.
Experience producing systems engineering artifacts for major system reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR).
Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong executive briefing skills.
Experience with complex, large-scale systems development from design through integration, test.
Familiarity with interface development within a System-of-Systems architecture.
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo.
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
Current Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and a Polygraph prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications
Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
STEM degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar.
Professional certifications, such as INCOSE CSEP/ESEP.
Experience with MBSE and Requirements management tools, such as Cameo and DOORS.
Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence.
Familiarity with data visualization tools: Tableau.
Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
