Release Train Engineer RTE / Scrum Master
Location: Plano, TX or Bedminster, NJ – Onsite
Type: Contract – C2C Works
Duration: 18+ Months
Job Description Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Over four years of experience as a Release Train Engineer, five years as a Scrum Master and five years as a Project Manager.
Drive program/release-level processes for an Agile Release Train, demonstrating servant leadership, domain knowledge, and technical savvy.
Mentor and coach Agile Release Train on Agile/Lean/SAFe principles; escalation of impediments, risk, dependency and resourcing management.
Facilitate Program Increment planning meetings with leadership, business stakeholders, product management, and delivery teams on the Agile Release Train(s).
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and maintain detailed business and technical requirements.
Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate and participate in testing and UAT activities to ensure requirements/user stories are accurately implemented and final deliverables meet business and quality standards.
Manage changes to requirements/user stories, assess impact, and mitigate related risks.
Assist in project planning activities, including timelines and resource allocation, while continuously improving requirements management processes and tools.
Deep understanding of SDLC (Waterfall, Agile Scrum, RUP).
Facilitate Sprint ceremonies (Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑up, Sprint Review, Retrospective) as a Scrum Master.
Handle Scrum artifacts (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Burndown chart).
Knowledge of Agentic AI and autonomous AI systems.
Facilitate PI Planning readiness to foster Continuous Exploration for vision, roadmap, and backlogs.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years Scrum Master experience and 4+ years Release Train Engineer experience.
Experience in SAFe framework and coaching teams.
Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and RUP methodologies.
Experience with PI Planning and continuous exploration.
