Life Science Account Executive
Leica Biosystems, a Danaher company, invites you to join our Life Sciences Commercial Team. We are dedicated to advancing cancer diagnostics, improving lives, and transforming patient care through cutting‑edge research, digital pathology, and core histology solutions. The role is based in New York/New Jersey territory and can be performed remotely.
In This Role
you will be responsible for:
Achieve annual product sales goals and maintain an accurate, timely opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC.
Deliver high‑level customer satisfaction by providing sales and support assistance, including product demos, installations, and training; sell Advanced Staining, Digital Pathology, and Core Histology product lines to life‑science research labs.
Manage key accounts and drive sales of Leica Biosystems platforms and workflows across all LBS product verticals, collaborating with product specialists and application scientists.
Prospect and engage existing customers to increase Leica Biosystems’ influence and presence across territories, using competitive insights and delivering independent presentations of the product portfolio.
Apply continuous process improvement through the Danaher Business System to increase sales, manage key accounts, and demonstrate expertise in scientific applications and markets.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor of Arts or Science in a hard science with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience.
Proven contract negotiation, key account management, and high‑level selling experience; experience selling in a matrixed environment and with Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
Prior capital equipment sales experience.
Must reside in the greater New York City area or New Jersey.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical companies, CROs, or cancer research centers.
Familiarity with selling to biotech firms and advanced scientific customers.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
Engage in local field travel 50‑75% of the time, including overnight travel where applicable. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $130,000 – $140,000 with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.
Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
Remote work arrangement available from home.
