Job Title School Nutrition Worker

Job Summary The purpose of this job is to prepare and serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an efficient, clean and friendly environment. Operates cafeteria register.
Essential Duties
Operates the register and receives money to put on the students' accounts.
Sets up the display of extra items for sale each morning.
Assists in cooking, setting up and serving food items to students and staff.
Follows all established state and federal regulations and complies with all established school nutrition and school board policies.
Operates a variety of kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, slicers, steamers, dishwashers.
Follows all established HACCP Guidelines and Procedures.
Assists with maintaining the food service facility and equipment in a clean, safe, and sanitary conditions.
Assists in inventory control of food items and supplies.
Communicates positively with school nutrition employees, school staff, students, parents and visitors.
Assists manager in recordkeeping to include inventory, production sheets, and scheduling of daily tasks.
Trains and assists new employees.
Assists washing dishes, cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping of kitchen.
Performs related work as required.
Minimum Education And Experience Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent and one (1) year of food handling experience. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
