What to Expect
The Project Manager role is a crucial role in Tesla's Megapack utility-scale project deployment team, responsible for onsite administrative and coordination activities with internal and external parties. This team is open to considering associate project manager level candidates.
What You'll Do
Provide administrative support to construction management staff, managing project documentation including submittals and RFIs, creation of transmittals, and issuing documentation.
Maintain change orders, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs.
Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
Monitor construction contract requirements and deliverables.
Interact with a diverse team to solicit status updates and identify potential risks in project plan.
Research payment history, generate purchase orders, and interface with accounts payable.
Prepare slide presentations, draft meeting minutes, manage schedule, and draft project execution plans.
Update/collate monthly reports providing support to project leads and construction management team.
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of internship or professional construction experience in renewables, utilities, or industrial settings.
Ability to report to office in Austin, TX, or Houston, TX.
Ability to travel ~25% of time to job sites.
Ability to read and understand design and construction drawings.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work efficiently and independently, being proactive in identifying tasks to complete and anticipating needs of staff.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof-reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers, and must be able to follow standard filing procedures.
Proficient computer skills, with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and MS Project experience strongly preferred.
