What We’re Looking For
Staff Accountant with Payroll & General Ledger focus supporting accounts payable, payroll processing, benefits reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and grant invoicing.
What You’ll Do
Prepare monthly or quarterly grant invoices for county and other funding sources; compile supporting data and ensure accuracy of grant‑related payroll and benefit expenses.
Prepare journal entries for general ledger review and submission to the GL team.
Assist in annual grant reporting and audit requirements; support budgeting for awarded grants.
Reconcile benefits invoices to payroll deductions and resolve discrepancies.
Enter cash receipt journal entries weekly/monthly and maintain accurate receivables records.
Participate in required training courses and maintain compliance with HR and audit requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–6 years of nonprofit accounting experience, focusing on payroll and general ledger reconciliation.
Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Benefits
