Job Summary
Drive power analysis and projections for CPUSS development, focusing on power analysis.
Define CPU rail planning and PMIC inductor sizing with SoC and Board teams.
Optimize system PDN for CPU rails across CPU, SoC, and Board teams.
Conduct thermal analysis of CPU use‑cases.
Develop power vector plans and definitions for comprehensive CPUSS coverage.
Perform power analysis on RTL and Netlist using tools such as Joules and PTPX.
Collaborate with RTL, Synthesis, and Physical Design teams to measure and optimize power.
Evaluate and propose new power optimization techniques at RTL, Synthesis, and Physical Design stages.
Tabulate metric results for analytical comparison.
Coordinate post‑silicon projections with silicon power measurements.
Minimum Skill Set / Experience
Extensive experience in power analysis and optimization.
10+ years of ASIC design or related experience.
Expertise in low‑power implementation techniques for RTL, Synthesis, or Physical Design.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl or Python.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with low‑power intent concepts and languages (UPF or CPF).
Good understanding of Verilog/SystemVerilog.
Experience with CPU micro‑architecture and its power challenges.
Experience in thermal analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of related experience; OR Master's degree with 7+ years of related experience; OR PhD with 6+ years of related experience.
Pay Range and Other Compensation & Benefits $211,900.00 – $317,900.00
Annual discretionary bonus program and RSU grants. Additional benefits included.
