Position Overview The
Senior Data Center Project Manager
is responsible for leading hyperscale data center buildouts from conception through completion — ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proven leader with strong experience in large-scale telecommunications and data center infrastructure projects, capable of managing multiple teams, vendors, and client relationships simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage all project-related staff.
Oversee all human resource functions for project personnel, including performance evaluations, promotions, pay recommendations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
Distribute workload effectively and monitor installation progress, ensuring customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
Manage and maintain project profitability — including cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Oversee all project safety and quality assurance efforts in compliance with company and industry standards.
Serve as the
primary liaison
between the company and customer representatives.
Lead and participate in the bid process, proposals, and client presentations.
Develop, implement, and refine internal project management processes to drive efficiency and consistency.
Ensure all project documentation, specifications, and as-built records are accurate and up to date.
Maintain strong communication with field teams, management, and customers to ensure alignment on project goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience
supervising or managing telecommunications or construction projects.
Proven experience managing
hyperscale data center buildouts
(construction phase, not post-build operations).
RCDD certification
preferred.
Strong understanding of
telecommunications infrastructure , including copper, fiber, and low-voltage systems.
Ability to read and interpret
blueprints, specifications, and project documentation .
Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project) .
Excellent
leadership, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking
skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience in interfacing directly with customers and managing expectations.
Must possess a valid
driver’s license
and meet company driving standards.
Must be able to secure and maintain a
company-sponsored American Express card .
Must be willing to
travel up to 100%
within the branch or regional territory.
Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of leading others in process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field (High School Diploma or GED required).
NICET or BICSI certifications
strongly preferred.
Hands-on knowledge of trade tools and installation practices in structured cabling or telecommunications environments.
Familiarity with
CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems
a plus.
