AVIONICS TECHNICIANS

BRIDGEPORT, WV

Responsibilities: As an Avionics Technician, you will be required to: Perform and document all work per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. Troubleshoot and repair components detached from the aircraft. Comply with environmental health / safety policies and procedures. Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations. May assist with maintenance at off-site locations. Operate ground support equipment if required. Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions. Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

Minimum of 4 year avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience; corporate jet aircraft / commercial aircraft experience is preferred. Have a certificate from Avionics / electric A/C Technical School or equivalent military/vendor training is preferred. Able to read and understand electrical engineering drawings. Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) aircraft status. Ground Support Equipment Qualifications and/or Engine Run Qualification may be required. F irframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) license is required. GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate is preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Standard Aviation Tool Kit required. Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65. Job Type:

Full-time, Contract Shift Hours/Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 1st shift: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm, 2nd shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am; 3 days on with 4 days off | 4 days on with 3 days off. (weekends included). Must be willing to work either shift. Overtime is available. Travel Pay $150 (if applicable) Hotel Lodging: The customer is offering a maximum of 30 nights in a nearby hotel. Room and tax only will be paid. The technician is responsible for all other charges. Essential Job Functions

Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task. Must be computer proficient. Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing. Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces. FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
