The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level position aimed at preparing you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. Thanks to Sherwin-Williams' promote-from-within philosophy, you can advance to an Assistant Store Manager position following the successful completion of the initial 8-week training.
This role requires a commitment of approximately 44 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
As a participant in this program, you will work alongside store management to oversee substantial business operations, providing you with vital leadership and insights into store strategy. Throughout the training, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of operations, clients, and internal strategies, equipping you to play a pivotal role in the team's success. You will enhance the company's market share by engaging with large commercial users like painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers who require significant volumes of our high-quality products.

Support business strategies to drive sales and optimize profitability. Deliver exceptional service to ensure high customer satisfaction. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products for effective customer recommendations. Build strong relationships with both wholesale and retail customers. Complete store administrative tasks. Ensure compliance with all policies, including safety and security standards. Uphold outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards. Assist in employee training, development, and performance management. Respond to and resolve customer and employee complaints. Collaborate with the Store Manager for outside sales initiatives to expand market share. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship. Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License. Must have obtained a bachelor's degree by the start of this program. Must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to retrieve materials and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally. Preferred Qualifications: One year experience in retail, sales, or customer service. At least one year in a leadership position supervising or leading teams. Experience in team-oriented settings, including work, extracurricular activities, or military service. Previous experience selling paint and related products. Familiarity with timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities. Proficiency in more than one language and the ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
