Pharmacy Assistant
This position is for a Central Fill pharmacy located in Everett, Washington, that supplies patient-level prescriptions for a large retail national chain. The role involves working in an automated refill center and performing warehouse operations such as packing prescriptions, receiving, and shipping. Responsibilities include processing orders for shipping, folding and packing paperwork with prescriptions to prepare for shipping, sorting orders by store location and placing them into totes for shipping, loading products into trucks, complying with policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures, reviewing reports for errors, packing patient paperwork and prescriptions, and sorting patient orders. Essential Skills include pharmacy support experience, WA State Pharmacy Assistant License (applicant can apply upon being accepted for the position as the license takes 1-2 weeks to process), 0-1 year of experience in a pharmacy production environment, data entry skills, experience in pick, pack, and ship operations, healthcare support, and prescription refill processing. Additional Skills & Qualifications include the ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, capability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift (8+ hours per day), and requires bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping. The role is set in a fast-paced, high-volume automation environment with a pick, pack, and ship focus. The schedule includes Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Monday to Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with mandatory overtime that can be regular and often up to 1 hour, occasionally extending to 2 hours following a major US holiday. This position is on-site and does not involve patient interaction or insurance data entry. The work atmosphere is team-oriented and safety-first, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
