Maintenance Mechanic

to enhance our Districtwide Facilities and Maintenance team. In this vital position, you will help maintain and repair school buildings, creating safe and efficient learning environments for students. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and more, under the supervision of the

Supervisor of Maintenance . Your expertise will contribute to the upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they are always well-functioning. Key Responsibilities:

Carry out skilled maintenance and repair tasks in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and drywall. Diagnose and fix mechanical and building system problems as needed. Assist with oil burner repairs and troubleshoot heating systems. Support maintenance projects of all sizes throughout the facilities. Work collaboratively with other trades during maintenance and repair assignments. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used. Ensure tools and equipment are well cared for and maintained. Maintain a safe, clean work environment at all times. Adhere to all safety standards and procedures set by Pritchard Industries. Qualifications:

Proficient in at least one primary trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, or electrical); familiarity with additional trades preferred. Able to work independently or as part of a team. Must provide basic personal tools, with larger tools provided by the employer. Skilled in reading blueprints and estimating supplies for small jobs. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Reliable and professional, capable of following directions. Education and Licensing:

High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred. Minimum of

five (5) years

of experience in general maintenance. Electricians and plumbers must have valid licenses. Current

motor vehicle operator's license

and reliable transportation required. Additional Requirements:

Able to lift and carry materials and tools as needed. Capable of working safely in various weather conditions. Flexibility to handle Emergency maintenance situations. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, comprising 8 hours each day, along with a comprehensive health benefits package.
