Richardson Contract Furniture a manufacturer of Office and Institutional furniture is currently seeking an experience Maintenance Mechanic to join the team.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and production machinery in a furniture manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems operate safety, efficiently, and with minimal downtime, supporting high-qualify furniture production.

Responsibilities includes:

Perform preventative maintenance on woodworking machinery, finishing equipment, conveyors and other plant systems according to schedules.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues on production equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.

Install, align, and adjust new equipment and production lines as needed.

Keep accurate maintenance logs, work orders and repair records.

Collaborate with production staff to identify recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with OSHA and plant safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, routers, CNC machines, and edge banders.

Strong problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision

Able to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints

Basic computer skills for maintenance record-keeping.

Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Our team works 4 10 hour days - Mon-Thurs 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
