Overview A leading global systematic hedge fund is seeking highly skilled C++ Consultants to join their US Trading Systems Team. The successful candidate will be embedded with the core engineering group, working alongside quantitative researchers, traders, and other software engineers to design and deliver high-performance trading infrastructure in a collaborative, technology-focused environment. The role involves operating at the intersection of quantitative research, software engineering, and real-time market execution within a fast-paced setting, requiring advanced technical skills and adaptability.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize critical C++ applications for the trading environment.

Implement and maintain real-time, low-latency trading infrastructure for systematic strategies.

Refactor and evolve systems to support next-generation trading platforms.

Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and systems engineers to integrate software with execution pipelines and data feeds.

Profile and tune system performance using advanced monitoring tools.

Contribute to code reviews, continuous integration, and reliability engineering projects.

Experience

5+ years of professional development experience focused on C++ systems.

Advanced expertise in modern C++ (C++17/20), including memory management, concurrency, template metaprogramming, STL, and compile-time optimization.

Deep knowledge of network programming, distributed computing, Unix/Linux including multithreading, sockets, and performance profiling.

Strong skills in data structures, algorithms, and solving complex engineering challenges.

Buyside or front-office experience is highly valued; ability to work effectively both independently and with global teams is required.

Compensation Competitive consulting day rate; open to project extension or long-term engagement for top performers.
