Senior User Researcher (Quantitative) – DigitalOcean Join a team dedicated to revolutionizing cloud computing and AI. As a Senior User Researcher, you will act as a critical link between our users and our business, working with product and design teams to guide the future of our products and services.

What You’ll Do

Lead targeted research from end-to-end, driving strategic and tactical initiatives that align with high‑level business goals and product roadmaps. Manage the full research lifecycle, from planning and recruiting to analysis, synthesis, and final reporting.

Generate actionable insights from disparate data sources, integrating qualitative, quantitative, and behavioral data into a cohesive narrative that informs product decisions and champions the voice of the customer.

Influence, advocate, and mentor across product, design, and technical teams, embedding the user perspective and raising the organization’s user‑centricity.

Contribute to and advance our research practice by refining methods, guidelines, and documentation, evaluating new tools, and managing a centralized research repository to increase insight accessibility.

What You’ll Add To DigitalOcean

5‑8 years’ experience planning, conducting, and communicating user research for digital products, ideally with a focus on technical users.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or related field.

Exceptional ability to understand and articulate user needs and to generate compelling, actionable insights.

Proven experience managing large‑scale research initiatives and influencing cross‑functional teams.

Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, with the ability to combine approaches to deliver insights; market research experience is a plus.

Proficient in statistical modeling, behavioral data analysis, experimental design, and quantitative methods.

Strong understanding of large‑scale data pipelines and collaboration with data engineering teams.

Skills in SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.), and statistical software (R, Python, SPSS, etc.).

Deep knowledge of the digital product lifecycle and collaboration across design, technical, and business teams.

Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to influence leaders and peers.

Preferred prior experience in the cloud computing industry.

Compensation Range

$140,000 - $177,000
