Position Summary We seek a motivated
Associate Project Manager
to support the execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects. Ideal candidates are early‑career professionals with 2+ years of relevant experience and a passion for energy and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Support execution of energy projects to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery
Coordinate with engineering, design, and subcontractor teams
Track and report project financials and timelines
Review and assist with contract and subcontract management
Maintain and update project schedules and deliverables
Attend design reviews and track meeting outcomes and action items
Manage field questions with the technical team
Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety standards and project specifications
Assist with commissioning, measurement and verification, and O&M planning
Contribute to client communications and relationship management
Support business development during project development and delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project management or project engineering (a technical degree may substitute for some experience)
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore)
Willingness and ability to travel (50–75%)
Experience at a Washington, DC project location and future ability to relocate/travel as needed
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights due to project period implementations
Preferred
OSHA‑30 Certification
Knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, solar, and BAS
Field experience in energy efficiency or sustainability‑focused projects
Skills & Attributes
Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team‑oriented with leadership potential
Creative problem‑solving and critical thinking
High adaptability in fast‑paced, evolving project environments
Physical Requirements
Ability to navigate active construction sites, use tools, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and observe worksite conditions
