Join a dynamic team as a Cloud Solutions Engineer, working on mission-critical global satellite networks! In this role, you will collaborate with software, development operations, system, network, and test engineers to develop and maintain GitOps infrastructure-as-code repositories for OpenShift and Kubernetes deployments. You will support cloud and on-premises environments ranging from development to production. This position requires you to manage OpenShift clusters, ensuring their security posture and updating necessary software and firmware versions. You will play a key role in updating repositories with third-party software configurations and testing deployments across various environments. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and documenting detailed deployment plans and procedures. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Candidates must be willing to work on a W2 basis and transition to full-time employment upon successful completion of the contract. 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, software engineering, or development operations engineering. Proven experience in designing, setting up, managing, and maintaining cloud development and test environments across platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Expertise in containerization with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including OpenStack and ESXi. Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture. Network design experience focusing on cloud, containerization, and virtualization setups, including IP subnetting and firewall configurations. Support and maintain cloud and on-premises Kubernetes and OpenShift environments for developers and system engineers. Evaluate new system and security requirements for cloud infrastructure and formulate remediation strategies. Deploy updates for configurations and security across both cloud and on-premises environments. Maintain and update GitOps infrastructure as code repositories to integrate new software and OS updates. Experience Requirements:

Hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes technologies. Background in maintaining GitOps infrastructure as code repositories. Knowledge of satellite communication systems. Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Proficiency in scripting, particularly in Bash and Python. Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related field. Ability to design, configure, and maintain private cloud and containerization environments using a variety of servers and network devices. Willingness to travel up to 10%. Must be a U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance. We consider skills, experience, and other factors when determining compensation, which is provided as a W2 hourly rate.
