Controls Technician
in the
Chattanooga, TN
area! This is a
hands-on, field-based role
focused on testing and startup of industrial electrical and controls systems. We’re looking for someone
local to Chattanooga
who can hit the ground running. Note: This is not a software development role. The ideal candidate will be experienced with electrical and controls hardware and capable of executing system testing and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Perform onsite testing, commissioning, and startup of control systems and equipment
Configure and set up
PLCs, drives, HMIs , and other controls hardware
Follow and verify documented test procedures and checklists
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/control issues in the field
Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure successful system deployment
Qualifications Hands-on experience with
controls hardware , including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc.
Ability to
configure and set up automation components
(not necessarily write software from scratch)
Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring, and control panels
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Willingness to work onsite at customer facilities around Chattanooga
Preferred Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms
Electrical or technical degree or relevant work experience
