Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and adult acute care experience for an evening shift assignment at a Level I trauma center.
Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital with Level I trauma designation and Magnet status CT department serving adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency patients Shift is 4x10 hour evenings, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM Every third weekend required and one night of call per week, with holiday call as needed No floating outside CT department required Uses Cerner for charting; Cerner experience preferred Caseload includes abdomen, pelvis, chest, vascular chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal trauma CT scans Daily responsibilities include advanced CT imaging with multiplanar reconstruction, volume rendering, and post-processing skills Must be familiar with isolation precautions and preparation/administration of contrast media Scrub attire may be any solid color Parking permit provided at no cost, to be arranged during orientation First-time travelers are welcome to apply Scheduling and time off requests should be discussed with the manager
Requirements Active Illinois state license required or in application process; license required if applicable ARRT, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CT in an acute care or trauma setting Experience with Level I trauma, ICU, and emergency department CT imaging required Skill in cardiac and vascular CT imaging, including coronary CTA and 3D rendering techniques Proficiency in starting peripheral IVs, performing venipuncture, administering contrast, and following radiation safety protocols
