Job Duties
Lead development, delivery, and continuous improvement of classroom, simulation, and e-learning curricula for clinical systems (Epic modules, Medix workflows, and related clinical applications).
Oversee a team of trainers/educators: hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and staffing for implementations and annual updates.
Partner with Clinical Operations, Nursing, and IT (Epic teams) to align training with clinical change management, policy updates, and regulatory requirements.
Create train-the-trainer materials, certification processes, competency checklists, and maintain training documentation and LMS records.
Manage training budgets, vendor relationships, and pre-/post-implementation training plans (including super-user programs).
Measure training effectiveness (Kirkpatrick methods, adoption metrics, competency pass rates) and report to leadership.
Participate in project governance for implementations, rollouts, and optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (clinical degree RN/RT/Pharm or education degree preferred).
5+ years clinical experience in hospital setting; 3+ years leading clinical education or training teams.
Expert knowledge of clinical workflows; experience with Epic implementations or other major EHR implementations strongly preferred.
Proven instructional design and adult learning experience; experience with LMS and e-learning tools.
Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred
Master’s degree, Epic training certifications, prior Medix/EHR training program leadership, experience with simulation labs.
Typical reporting / work environment Salary commensurate with experience within posted range
25th percentile: $123,700 50th (median): $155,200 75th percentile: $197,000.
