As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you are responsible for providing technical direction and overseeing engineering activities. This includes developing methods, processes and tooling to support product launch, scale-up and continuous improvement. Will provides guidance, development, training, control and documentation of process and product designs. He/She interacts and collaborates with the customer’s technical and procurement teams on new and existing products, providing technical expertise and setting expectations for performance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering field

Minimum 5-10 years of engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Previous managerial experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing setting

Experience with AS9100

Strong experience in process drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards.

Responsibilities Prioritize and direct functional activities of the Engineering team.

Review and approve manufacturing drawings

Provide manufacturing expertise and technical judgment to development project tasks and engineering team activities.

Work directly with customers to interpret product requirement, translate into process requirements, assess process capability and propose development projects

Provide engineering support on new Product Introduction programs by identifying, prioritizing and assigning appropriate technical resources

Maintain and improve staff through participating in selection, training, appraising, motivating and rewarding department personnel

Assure that SOPs and work instructions are followed by their engineering team in support of robust, consistent and controlled manufacturing processes. Participate in the review and improvement of supporting documentation

Provide detailed technical development guidance to enhance technical skills of engineering team regarding process development, forging, flow forming and machining technology

Create, evaluate mechanical testing reports, tracking trends and providing guidance

Help to lead to a Zero Injury Culture through actions and developing safe job procedures

Additional Skills and Preferred Knowledge

Knowledge of various metals including Nickel Alloys, Stainless Steels, Maragin Steels and Alloy Steels

Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing including Magnetic Particle, Pressure Testing and Dye Penetrant

Knowledge of Mechanical Testing including Tensile Test, Hardness Test, Grain Size and Salt Fog

Having a hands‑on approach with assembly of designs and fixturing

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Excellent interpersonal, written, organizational and verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask with a sense of time management

A high attention to detail with a mechanical aptitude

Proficiency using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Vison and Project.
