Your Impact As a Senior Software Engineer I on the Frontend Squad, you will collaborate with other engineers to shape and drive technical solutions and architecture for scalable, high-performance frontend web applications. You will work with engineers across the organization to review designs and steer them toward reliable and sustainable outcomes. You will mentor and grow engineers on your team and foster a collaborative culture aligned with Axon values. What Youll Do
Build and own the technical roadmap for mission-critical web applications Implement robust, reusable, and maintainable code using React and other modern frameworks Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design solutions that solve the teams biggest technical challenges Lead engineering architecture design reviews Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews Mentor and grow engineers Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to create integrated solutions that delight customers Improve engineering processes, including long-term thinking, sprint planning, and stand-ups Build systems that meet high availability and latency requirements for mission-critical space What You Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of professional software development experience Experience developing large-scale, consumer-facing web applications Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks such as React Experience with Redux, RxJS, TanStack Query or other state management libraries Experience with cloud-based APIs and infrastructure Strong experience with build and bundling tools like Webpack, Vite, or Rollup Proficient with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) Deep familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows like GitHub or GitLab Experience in optimizing web application performance, including code splitting, lazy loading, and reducing Time to Interactive (TTI) Location and Schedule
This role is based out of our Seattle, WA office and follows a hybrid schedule. Team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless an approved workplace accommodation is required. Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range
$141,000.00/yr - $225,600.00/yr Axon is a total compensation company, and compensation includes base pay, bonus, and stock awards.
