Overview
Cetera Financial Group is seeking an Advisory Product Solution Consultant to guide financial professionals on investment products. The consultant supports advisors in implementing investment strategies across mutual funds, annuities, alternative investments, and other products.
Responsibilities
Act as subject‑matter expert on supported product lines: annuities, mutual funds, 529s, alternative investments, structured products, donor‑advised funds.
Consult with advisors to deliver product guidance for client scenarios.
Assist advisors with strategic sales ideas, competitive product positioning, and provide best‑in‑class solutions and resources.
Support advisor education on key investment challenges such as secure income needs and college planning.
Track phone metrics, emails, and consultations to measure activity and question types.
Provide leads to Wealth Management Consulting, Growth Officer, National Product Sales Desk & Financial Planning Teams when appropriate.
Provide industry trend insights and support marketing and educational campaigns through inbound/outbound calls, one‑on‑one consultations, and presentations.
Interface with partner firms.
Advocate for resources, tools, services, and support for financial professionals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required).
5+ years of sales experience in the financial services industry.
FINRA Series 7 securities registration (required).
Life, Accident & Health license, Series 65 or 66 a plus.
Phenomenal communication, presentation, public‑speaking, and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service, problem‑solving, and communication skills; positive attitude and ambition.
Presentation/training skills for group training programs.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Flexible, detail‑oriented, self‑directed with multitasking and prioritization ability.
Independent and collaborative work style with team focus.
Willingness to learn and self‑teach.
Preferred Add‑On Skills
Industry credentials such as CFP, CLU, ChFC, CIMA, CAIA.
Strong aptitude for technology.
Complex problem‑solving skills with focus on results.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, independently or collaboratively.
Ability to synthesize ideas into cohesive stories.
Technical information delivery to non‑technical users.
Thriving in fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Deep functional understanding of investment and protection products.
State Insurance License preferred.
Compensation The base annual salary range is $70,000 to $90,000, plus competitive performance‑based bonus. Salary is based on skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
