What You’ll Do
Drive sales activities for Principal Funds Distribution throughout Des Moines, Kansas City and Omaha, partnering closely with the Internal Wholesaler and Sr. Director within territory for collective success in growing advisor relationships.
Accountable for achieving sales targets and managing broker‑dealer relationships across all channels covering ETFs, Separately Managed Accounts and Mutual Funds.
Develop, recommend and implement sales plans, activity reports and rotation schedules with a focus on growing market share.
Provide input on marketing, product development, shareholder/broker communications and integration of campaigns with broker dealers and fund wholesaling teams.
Maintain the highest level of integrity and presentation skills.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required and 2+ years of sales‑specific industry experience (investment products, capital markets, partnering with advisors).
FINRA licensing required including SIE or equivalent and Series 7.
Series 63 required within 45 days.
Advanced designations preferred (CFP®, CFA®, CIMA®, CAIA®).
Excellent knowledge of investment products and financial markets required.
Strong interpersonal, consultative, advisor‑management, and analytical skills required.
Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Good training and motivational skills necessary.
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Travel required, including overnight stays.
Salary Range $71,250 – $101,000 per year (targeted base salary).
Location This position is located within the territories of Kansas City, MO; Des Moines, IA; or Omaha, NE.
