The Lead Maintenance Coordinator will manage departmental operations, ensuring employee priorities align with our dynamic business needs. You will set a positive example that boosts crew productivity while promoting core values at Golden Aluminum. This position is vital in overseeing the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities: Address unsafe acts and work conditions immediately, seeking assistance from leadership when necessary. Ensure proper reporting of injuries, incidents, near misses, and observations via established systems. Enforce compliance with ISO, ASI, and EHS procedures, while providing adequate training for new employees. Act as a liaison between management and crew employees, addressing and escalating issues as needed. Monitor employee behavior related to compliance and escalate noncompliance to management appropriately. Maintain inventory of essential supplies and communicate needs to management. Troubleshoot and repair various systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Keep accurate maintenance records using available systems. Identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Propose improvements in maintenance processes to boost efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned. Promote safe work practices and monitor compliance with related policies. Maintain effective communication with team members across shifts and departments. Basic understanding of general mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating assemblies. Experience troubleshooting and rebuilding various types of pumps. Skilled in using precision measurement tools. Familiarity with electrical systems, including DC transformers and AC drives. Knowledge of control systems and electrical equipment is preferred. Experience with DC motors of various types and knowledge of gas burners is essential.
