Job Summary
As Director for Academic Affairs for the College of Allied Health Professions (CAHP) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, you will lead the operational and personnel functions that advance the college’s educational mission. Your role will oversee student remediation and progression, academic policy development, compliance with institutional accreditation, commission reporting, state authorizations, data collection and analysis of program outcomes, assessment mapping, curriculum design and revisions, and the management of assessment tools and databases. The position may carry a faculty appointment and requires collaboration with enrollment management, student affairs, and academic department chairs.
Responsibilities
Student remediation and progression
Academic policy development, implementation, and execution
Compliance with institutional accreditation
Coordinating commission reporting and state authorizations
Collecting and analyzing college-wide program outcome data and reporting
Assessment mapping and strategic alignment with institutional outcomes
Implementing and managing assessment tools and databases such as course and instructor evaluations, exit surveys, and graduate/employer surveys
Providing program and student guidance related accommodations
Guiding curricula design, revisions, development, and course management
Working closely with enrollment management and student affairs teams
Supervising administrative personnel related to academic affairs functions
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field with experience in post-secondary higher education or health professions related fields
Supplemental Qualifications
PhD, EdD (or equivalent), or academic terminal degree in a related field
