Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an

Electrical and Test Engineer

to serve as an

Automated Test Equipment Engineer

to join our

Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3)

Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL.

We design, sustain, and upgrade next electronics concepts and support production and special test equipment design for increasing capacity requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

Support development of automated test equipment, generate drawings, and support hardware fabrication, integration. and testing.

Coordinate work to analyze and translate test systems requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs, and interface specifications.

Create and implement overall

Test Equipment Design

strategies.

Review and apply real-time test anomaly troubleshooting and resolution of issues encountered during testing and operation.

Test, validate, and ensure test system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

Support fielded test equipment hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other engineering disciplines.

Assist suppliers when fabricating test equipment to engineering drawings.

Research emerging technologies for potential applications to meet projected requirements.

Perform

Root Cause

Corrective Action

( RCCA ) investigations, troubleshooting, and resolutions.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience setting up equipment and performing tests on various products and assemblies using

manual

or

automated

test devices.

3+ years of experience with test equipment support and

test equipment design .

Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering.

Subject Matter Expert in electrical design with proven previous test equipment design experience.

Experience with programming

C ,

C++ ,

C# ,

Python, MATLAB .

Experience with Instrument’s

Lab-View

and

Test-Stand

software

Experience with

Unigraphics ,

Creo

or other drafting

CAD

tools.

Experience using

oscilloscope s,

multimeter , and other lab equipment.

Active Security Clearance.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
