Director of Engineering
to oversee all engineering, maintenance, and sustainability operations. This is a

for an experienced professional with a proven track record in resort engineering management, preferably within island or remote hospitality environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, operational foresight, and hands-on leadership to ensure the resort’s facilities, utilities, and infrastructure operate at peak efficiency. A proactive, solutions-driven mindset and prior

are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities
Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for guest villas, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Ensure the reliable operation of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, water, and waste management systems.
Lead preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
Manage energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives aligned with resort standards.
Supervise and develop the engineering and maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and project progress.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, capital projects, and expense forecasts.
Support leadership with long-term planning and infrastructure improvement strategies.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld across all operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience in a
luxury island resort or remote hospitality environment.
Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
Proven success in managing preventive maintenance programs and large-scale facility operations.
Solid understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency practices.
Excellent leadership and people management skills with a collaborative approach.
Financial acumen in budgeting, capital expenditure planning, and cost control.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Technical degree or professional certification in Engineering .
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary up to
USD 85,000 annually , based on experience.
Annual
15% performance-based bonus.
