Description Join our dynamic SMIT Service Desk RDM Team as a Tier 2 Technician! We provide exceptional technical support for software, hardware, and network issues. As a trusted technician, you will assist clients by diagnosing problems and offering step-by-step solutions, ensuring a seamless experience with our products and services. In this role, you will: Utilize automated systems to analyze and resolve routine technical situations.

Effectively prioritize requests, managing your time to maximize efficiency.

Independently solve issues or collaborate with teammates, escalating unresolved matters when necessary.

Provide information and training on various databases to enhance user experience.

Guide users in the effective use of PCs and networks.

Employ critical thinking to quickly grasp complex systems.

Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.

Enhance your mentoring skills by supporting your peers.

Deliver excellent phone and email support through clear verbal and written communication.

Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 years of general experience, or a combination of experience and higher education.

Minimum of 6 months of experience with the NMCI Service Desk.

Must possess 8570 certification - CompTIA Security +CE.

Experience of 3 months or more in supporting NNPI and/or SIPR in a Tier 1 capacity.

Ability to achieve Flank Speed Tier 1.5 qualification within 30 days.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell.

Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Advanced knowledge of computer and networking technology.

Capability to document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.

Familiarity with NMCI processes, internal structures, and tools.

Experience with HPSM ticketing and Knowledge Management Systems.

Must be a US Citizen and available to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with 2 years of experience on the NMCI Service Desk.

Attendance records of fewer than 4 occurrences over a rolling 90-day period.

Demonstrated strong metrics in PAR and AHT.
