JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist plays an integral role in supporting the management, execution, and reporting of the Caesars search engine marketing channel. Reporting to the Director of Programmatic Media, this subject matter expert will oversee day-to-day campaign management and analysis of the Caesars SEM program’s largest portfolio of accounts including strategy development, bid strategy optimization, budgeting, audience personalization, and performance reporting.
The Sr. SEM Specialist will provide cross-functional support inside and outside of the organization to meet department goals of improved efficiency and revenue growth. This position is best suited for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong understanding of omnichannel marketing and a passion for continuous testing and optimization. Advanced project management, communication, and analytical skills are a must.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Plan, manage and execute day-to-day search engine marketing campaigns across the enterprise including keyword research, budget management, bid strategy, ad copy/landing page testing
Use web analytics and bid management tools to analyze performance and influence decisions
Monitor search query reporting for ongoing campaign optimization
Assist with tactical execution to improve the channel’s scale and efficiency
Responsible for weekly market-level budget pacing and monthly performance reporting and insights
Develop and implement a monthly media testing schedule with published results for stakeholders
Manage relationships with Caesars marketing teams and external partners to share performance insights
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience in paid search advertising (PPC) and digital tracking/analytics
Google Ads Search certification
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads required, direct experience with Search Ads 360, Kenshoo, Marin, or Google Campaign Manager preferred
Prior experience managing both algorithmic and manual bidding strategies
Passionate understanding of paid search with proven analytical ability to apply learnings
Critical thinking and problem-solving enthusiast with immense attention to detail
Strong data analysis, visualization, and reporting capabilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet assigned deadlines as required
Ability to adapt to new circumstances and champion changes to support management goals
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency in Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Ads Editor
