Million Air
The primary function of the Quality Manager is to perform inspections of products and record quality results and, when applicable, oversee inspectors performing the same.
Responsibilities and Duties
Determine that all technical data on all articles maintained or altered by the Repair Station are secured and kept current with the latest revisions, including process specifications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, part specifications, FAA airworthiness directives, and related data.
Perform inspections of aircraft systems, equipment, and parts for operation and conformance to FAA and NAVAIR standards and company specifications.
Inspect the installation, repair and operation of electrical wiring, electronic systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft.
Inspect adjustments, structural and electrical repairs or modifications made on the aircraft in accordance with applicable Technical Orders, TCTOs, work orders, work cards, structural repair manuals and modifications.
Maintain the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual and Training Manual.
Perform receiving inspections on all incoming raw materials and purchased parts.
Perform machined parts inspections, weld inspections, and electrical inspections.
Proficient in blueprint reading/interpreation and shop mathematics.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry.
Possess an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
Inspection Authorization (IA) Certificate preferred.
Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9110 Quality Management System standards.
Working knowledge of FOD & Tool Control, Technical Orders (T.O.), TCTO's, FAA FARs and Aircraft Maintenance Information Systems.
Must be able to work flexible and extended hours.
Competencies
5‑10 years’ experience in corporate aviation as an A&P mechanic.
Customer focus, naturally outgoing and extroverted.
Ability to work in and around confined spaces such as fuel tanks.
Proficiency with inspection measuring devices, mirror and flashlight.
Physical ability to climb, kneel, stoop, stand, lift, carry up to 35 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Basic mathematical knowledge.
Bi‑literate.
Results driven and strong time‑management skills.
Work Environment The position works inside a hangar and outside in all weather conditions with direct contact with moving and non‑moving aircraft. Exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery is possible.
Physical Demands
Communicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and via radio.
Include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 35 pounds and occasional pushing/pulling of items up to 100 pounds.
Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
Outside work in all types of weather conditions.
