Position Summary This is a 100% remote Grants and Research Compliance Manager position for the School of Nursing. The role coordinates accounting and personnel activities for the Grants Management Office, prepares complex financial reports, reconciles federal contracts and grants, and performs research compliance audits. The incumbent is the primary research compliance contact for Principal Investigators, advising them from award initiation through the entire grant lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Coordinate accounting and personnel work of the Grants Management Office.

Prepare and reconcile complex financial reports for federal contracts, grants, and external subcontracts.

Ensure compliance with federal regulations, foundation guidelines, cost‑accounting standards, and university policies.

Act as the primary research compliance contact for Principal Investigators, advising from award initiation to grant lifecycle.

Audit post‑award grants and produce analytical reports detailing status, expenditures, and projections for investigators and project managers.

Manage daily schedule, meet with faculty, project managers, and the Dean as needed, working independently in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications

Substantial knowledge of accounting principles.

Proficiency in computer‑based financial spreadsheets and databases.

Ability to work independently and supervise others.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of rules and regulations governing fiscal documents.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong Excel skills.

Attention to detail and a high degree of concentration.

Ability to multitask and shift priorities quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in grants administration and/or finance.

Education & Experience Minimum: Entry‑level with a Master’s degree; or Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of experience.
