We are seeking qualified individuals interested in adjunct teaching at Nashua Community College on a course-by-course basis. A strong academic background is required. Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period, and require on-campus instruction.
We anticipate a need for instructors in our Automotive Technology Program, with classes scheduled on weekdays. Applicants should have work experience in:
Shop safety
General service
Basic automotive electricity
Engine operation and theory
Strong organizational and diagnostic skills are desired.
Available Courses Include:
Automotive Service and Maintenance
Internal Combustion Engines
Basic Automotive Electricity
Preferred applicants will have ASE Master Certification A1-A8 or be able to obtain certification in teaching areas before classes begin.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Automotive Technology
5 years of experience as a technician
Industry certifications such as Vehicle Manufacturer, ASE, and Aftermarket
Higher education teaching experience, experience with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard or Canvas), and community service engagement are preferred.
Salary Range:
$800-$950 per contact hour, determined by faculty rank based on education and experience.
