Inside Sales Representative - Kendall Electric
Kendall Electric, a division of The Kendall Group, seeks a talented, creative, self‑motivated individual for the Inside Sales Representative position. Role Summary Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, Territory Manager, or Location Manager, the Inside Sales Representative engages customers and vendors, identifies sales opportunities, and closes deals. The role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of our product lines.
Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
Respond promptly to customer inquiries
Communicate with customers and vendors through various channels
Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
Participate in sales and product training sessions
Process orders and quotes in our business system
Provide vendor portal assistance to customers
Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
Coordinate with colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessary
Explain product features and applications
Make recommendations for product selections
Make outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leads
Identify sales opportunities based on customer needs
Maintain a database of current and potential customers
Provide product submittal sheets for approval and track progress
Close sales and achieve sales targets
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
What you’ll need
2+ years of customer service, sales, or distribution experience
High school diploma or GED
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP or other computer systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple requests in a fast‑paced environment
Negotiation skills and experience handling escalated customer requests
Physical ability to sit for 8 hours a day and see, talk, and hear clearly
Occasional travel to branches or training events
Preferred qualifications
Electrical sales and customer service experience
Experience with Eclipse ERP
Associate or bachelor’s degree
