Support Staff: RN, CMA, one other full‑time and part‑time physician, and NP.
Coverage Type: Clinic hours + call
Clinic hours: Monday‑Friday outpatient clinic (no weekend clinic, but weekend call available)
Call expectations: Inpatient and outpatient call: 7‑14 days depending on the month; 24‑hour call includes inpatient consults and urgent outpatient questions.
EMR / Charting Software: EPIC
Avg. Daily Census: 10‑12 patients (new and follow‑ups)
Patient Age Group: Birth – 21
Department description: Provider will be seeing 10‑12 patients with 60 minutes for new patients, 30 minutes for follow‑ups. Treats adrenal gland conditions, diabetes, early or delayed puberty, growth problems, lipid disorders, low blood sugar, menstrual disorders, obesity, pituitary gland conditions, thyroid gland conditions, vitamin D deficiency. The group collaborates with pediatric neurology, genetics, surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonology, complex care clinic, NICU, and pediatric development and behavior.
Responsibilities Provide outpatient clinic care, inpatient consults, and 24‑hour call coverage. Manage patient evaluations, follow‑ups, EMR charting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
Requirements
Board Certification: BC or BE in Pediatric Endocrinology (required or preferred)
State License(s): NC
Certifications: CPR, PALS (plus)
DEA: Required
Years of Experience: Flexible (they're flexible)
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
Willing To License? NO
