Head Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach, Upper School
The Harker School seeks a Head Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach for the Upper School Athletic Program. The season begins February 2026 and runs through May 2026.
Pay:
$20.00/hr – $25.00/hr
Position Summary:
Our coaches must be committed to the personal development of our student‑athletes. This includes teaching them skills related to the sport and helping students develop a competitive nature, teaching ethical behavior, good sportsmanship, and fostering leadership and life skills.
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age.
Experience working with children preferred. Must be comfortable working with and around school-age children.
First Aid/CPR certified.
1 to 2 years coaching experience (preferred).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for safely and effectively managing groups of students.
Organize practice & game plans.
Communicate effectively with athletic director, staff, students, and parents.
Stay informed regarding weekly sports emails, updates, and changes.
Follow all guidelines expressed in the Upper School Coaches Handbook.
Complete miscellaneous tasks and duties as requested.
Other Duties And Responsibilities:
Attend coach meetings and mandatory seasonal parent meetings.
Ensure students participate in a fair and sportsmanlike manner.
Ensure safety and decorum of students while traveling to away games.
Maintain knowledge of league, section, and state bylaws pertaining to the sport.
Provide guidance for middle and/or lower school programs where applicable.
Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements:
Coaching students ages 13–19.
Experience in or background in the sport.
Working Conditions:
May be subject to extended periods of standing or walking.
Majority of time may be spent outside, exposing to extremes in heat or cold as weather varies.
