Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QuickBooks Online (QBO) Specialist to manage and maintain our financial records, ensure accuracy in bookkeeping, and support efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, hands-on experience with QBO, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Record and reconcile accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R).
Prepare and categorize journal entries, deposits, and expense reports.
Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
Generate financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure transactions are accurately classified.
Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations (if applicable).
Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and audit preparation.
Collaborate with management, external accountants, or tax professionals as needed.
Stay current with QBO updates and accounting best practices.
Qualifications
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) required (certification preferred).
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small-to-medium business environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and other business software.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification.
Experience with third-party integrations (e.g., bill.com, Expensify, Shopify, Gusto, etc.).
Background in [industry — e.g., construction, e-commerce, professional services].
Familiarity with 1099 preparation, sales tax filing, and other compliance tasks.
