Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Balancer / Vibration Technician
to join our team. This position is responsible for performing precision balancing, vibration analysis, and troubleshooting on rotating equipment to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform dynamic and static balancing on rotating components such as rotors, shafts, impellers, and fans.
Conduct vibration analysis to identify unbalance, misalignment, or other mechanical issues.
Use specialized equipment and instruments to measure, record, and analyze vibration data.
Interpret readings and mathematical data to determine corrective actions.
Collaborate with machinists and mechanics to make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Maintain detailed records of test results, balancing procedures, and repair actions.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Assist in field balancing and on‑site troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Balancer, Vibration Technician, or related mechanical technician role.
Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to perform precision calculations.
Proficiency with vibration analysis tools, balancing machines, and diagnostic software.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field service (if applicable).
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Certification in vibration analysis (e.g., ISO Category I or II).
Experience with rotating equipment repair or field service.
Familiarity with balancing standards and tolerances.
25% travel.
