What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Design and develop quantum compilers for both NISQ and fault-tolerant quantum computing platforms
Develop quantum algorithms and benchmarking methods for applications across scientific domains
Create and optimize quantum-classical hybrid workflows for integrated computation
Contribute to the development of quantum intermediate representations and programming interfaces
Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed conferences and journals
What is Required (Qualifications)
Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years or within the next eight months from an accredited college or university
Strong background in quantum computer science or closely related disciplines
Hands‑on experience working with quantum hardware platforms such as IBM, Quantinuum, IonQ, IQM, or Rigetti
Proven experience in developing quantum compilers, numerical simulators, or related software tools
Research experience in designing, implementing, or analyzing quantum error correction codes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
Additional experience in collaborative research projects with national laboratories or universities
