Landscape Designer

specializing in outdoor recreation, you'll be essential to the success of our

Outdoor Recreation

department, flexing your creative thinking and technical skills across projects like

new park and trail design

as well as

park and trail rehabilitation work . You start by analyzing surveys, field notes, and existing conditions assessments to develop the most effective strategy for completing the work on time and on budget, whether it involves a

major park rehabilitation

or

designing a new multi-use trail system .

This includes striving to

identify potential constraints

and brainstorming creative workarounds. Attentive to detail, you research relevant ordinances, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance before developing and presenting conceptual diagrams and narratives for approval. You then use AutoCAD to create

detailed landscape and civil plans , including site layout, grading, and construction details for projects ranging from

new park amenity areas

complex trail alignments , even performing hydraulic calculations for irrigation when needed.
