Position Overview
The
Junior Payroll Administrator
will assist in the processing of payroll for Culture Partners workforce across multiple locations and projects. This is an excellent entry-to-mid-level opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in payroll and HR administration within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and processing weekly or biweekly payrolls in accordance with company policies and federal/state laws. Review employee timesheets, verify job codes, and ensure hours are entered accurately. Support the maintenance of employee payroll records, including new hires, rate changes, and terminations. Help process deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions. Provide basic payroll reports and data to management as requested. Collaborate with HR and Accounting to resolve payroll discrepancies or employee questions. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all payroll-related data. Assist in certified payroll reporting and compliance (training provided). Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred. 1–2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or HR support (construction experience a plus). Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, or similar software. Basic understanding of payroll principles and labor laws. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry accuracy. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Willingness to learn construction-specific payroll compliance (prevailing wage, certified payroll, etc.). Seniority level
