Sales Manager – Contracts (H/F)

The Contract‑Sales Manager serves as a critical link between the Sales Department and Program Teams, ensuring seamless integration of sales functions. The role develops and writes comprehensive commercial offers, negotiates contracts aligned with commercial strategy, oversees contract execution, and implements the Avionics GBU’s commercial policy to achieve economic and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Conduct strategic Bid‑No‑Bid evaluations to assess the viability and strategic alignment of potential contracts.
Develop and deliver competitive commercial offers for unsolicited opportunities and RFP responses.
Ensure business plan profitability and policy compliance, promoting sustainable growth.
Highlight product strengths and negotiate terms to optimize business success.
Oversee contract implementation, using detailed feedback to refine processes and mitigate risks.
Collaborate across departments to prepare and validate offers and action plans for complex contracts.
Influence commercial policy and support business development efforts.
Coordinate with Customer Service and Program teams to manage orders and contracts in line with budgetary objectives.
Implement strategies for organic revenue growth, including pricing adjustments, contract amendments, and upselling opportunities.
Identify and maximize upsell or cross‑sell opportunities within existing customer relationships.
Act as the primary commercial contact for customers, negotiating contractual terms and addressing concerns.
Collaborate on developing corrective plans to resolve customer issues effectively.
Analyze essential metrics such as order volume and unpaid invoices to enhance performance and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
10+ years of experience as a Sales Manager in the aeronautical, space, or defense industry.
Proven knowledge of contracting in commercial and military aerospace, strong negotiation skills, and experience creating and executing sales strategies.
Experience with OEM environments, cost estimating, and proposal development.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to analyze and synthesize data.
Leadership, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Adaptability to fast‑paced, complex organizations and strong organizational skills.
Integrity, quality control, time management, and critical thinking.
