Grant Writer -Post Adoption Wrap Services
Parents in Training: LEAF Wraparound, Sacramento, California, United States, 95828
About Parents in Training: LEAF Wraparound-We believe that the home should be a place of healing
and, therefore, it is necessary to establish effective communication guidelines within the family unit to reduce the level of stress and improve the various family relationships. We are a love-based model for how adopted children are raised, parented, and treated within the community, inspiring all families to create love, connection, and belonging.
We’re looking for a passionate, mission-driven volunteer who wants to use their writing, research, and storytelling skills to help families heal. The Volunteer Grant Writer will help identify and write grant proposals for foundations, corporations, and philanthropic organizations that align with our vision.
This is a
remote, flexible volunteer position —ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of adoptive families while gaining experience in nonprofit development or contributing professional expertise to a cause they believe in. What You’ll Do: Research and identify funding opportunities that align with our mission and support unrestricted needs. Draft compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and follow-up materials. Collaborate with leadership to gather program data, success stories, and outcome information. Help build and maintain a grants calendar and track submission deadlines. Contribute creative ideas for fundraising and donor engagement. What We’re Looking For: Strong writing and communication skills (grant writing experience is helpful but not required). Ability to research funding sources and align opportunities with organizational needs. Passion for family healing, trauma-informed care, adoption, or community-based programs. Detail-oriented, reliable, and collaborative. Interest in learning about nonprofit development or supporting a growing organization. What You’ll Gain: Hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant writing. Flexible, remote volunteer schedule—work from anywhere, on your own time. Mentorship and collaboration with a compassionate leadership team. The opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on adoptive families and children across California. How to Apply: If you’d like to lend your skills and heart to our mission, please send a
