Job Overview The Office of Enrollment and Student Success (ESS) provides a cohesive experience throughout the student lifecycle. The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) administers over $430 million in financial aid to undergraduate and graduate students, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.

Responsibilities

Financial Aid Processing

– Demonstrate firm knowledge of financial aid servicing, counseling, awarding, needs assessment, and packaging.

Academic Coordination

– Understand academic timelines and calendars for all designated student populations.

Project Management

– Create and manage the project plan for the designated student population or customer.

Compliance

– Ensure state-level finance and professional conduct compliance with state and federal laws.

Stakeholder Communication

– Act as liaison with student population programs; provide timely, professional customer service; build relationships with academic schools and campus partners; deliver polished presentations; manage stakeholder engagement plans.

Data Management

– Use GW financial aid systems to record, track, and analyze student engagement; collect and analyze student data; conduct qualitative data analysis and effective data visualization.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

– Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree or higher. Degree must be conferred by the start date.

– Knowledge of financial aid processes; program management experience; strong presentation, interpersonal, networking, and organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
