Indoor Track Assistant Coach – Waterville Senior High School
Anticipated Start Date: Winter Sport Season

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable
Indoor Track Assistant Coach
to support our athletes and coaching staff. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping student-athletes improve their performance and character. Responsibilities include assisting with training sessions, meet preparation, and athlete development. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential. Experience in track and field or coaching is preferred.
The city of Waterville is located on the banks of the Kennebec River and is easily accessible from two exits off I‑95 as well as Route 201. Waterville offers access to affordable housing, employment opportunities, medical facilities, outdoor activities, and a vibrant arts, entertainment, and culinary scene.

Primary Responsibilities
Assist head coach with issues, collection and overall care of uniforms, and equipment.
Distribute and collect parent permission forms, records of physical exams, and other paperwork required by the athletic department.
Secure school facilities and equipment after each use.
Supervise athletes at all times, including games (home and away), practices, and other team functions.
Review the student athletic handbook with team members, focusing on academic eligibility and substance abuse policies.
Promote proper care of equipment, uniforms, and facilities at all times.
Cooperate with head coach and other staff members and discuss confidential matters privately with appropriate personnel.
Strive to improve coaching skills by attending clinics and using resources provided by the head coach.
Perform additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
Previous coaching experience preferred.
