Position Title Senior Analyst Risk Management
Position Summary The Senior Analyst Risk Management is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager in the identification, mitigation and management of company risks. These duties include managing claims (Aircraft, Premises, Auto & Property), providing contractual comments, assisting in all activities that are involved with submitting renewal applications, coordinating certificate issuance, verifying/reconcile invoices, attending occasional site visits, compiling statistical data and preparing/creating reports on a wide variety of Risk Management related topics and ad hoc projects.
Essential Responsibilities
Leverage in-depth knowledge of insurance policies to proactively advise internal stakeholders on coverage parameters, policy terms, conditions, and exclusions
Stay current with insurance markets, developments and best practices in the field of Risk Management
Administer claims processes, collaborating with the Senior Manager, Risk Analyst and external partners (brokers, adjusters) for complex claims
Review contracts, provide comments and education for use during negotiations in a timely manner
Conduct analytical review of loss data to identify emerging trends and risk patterns, developing executive-level reports to inform mitigation strategies
Manage the issuance and tracking of all Certificates of Insurance (COIs), streamlining coordination between internal departments and external partners
Direct the data gathering and verification process for all insurance renewal submissions, including the annual valuation of property and business interruption exposures
Gain a working understanding of JetBlue operations and work to help achieve departmental goals
Collaborate with operational leadership to implement corrective action when crewmembers are non‑compliant with driver’s license requirements
Act as primary or backup on JetBlue’s “Go Team”
Complete ad hoc projects and other duties as required
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Risk Management, Business, or Insurance OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous experience
Three (3) years of analytical or related experience
Ability to effectively interface with people at all levels of the organization
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and SharePoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify potential legal issues and escalate when necessary
Ability to interact effectively with insurance company personnel, brokers and third‑party administrators
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively
Strong attention to detail
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a pre‑employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a relevant field
Three (3) years of experience working in the insurance marketplace with a working knowledge of the standard lines of Commercial insurance coverages
Working knowledge of JetBlue and/or airline acumen
Experience with the settlement of workers’ compensation, property and liability claims
Familiarity with safety programs and other risk mitigation techniques
Crewmember Expectations
Regular attendance and punctuality
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short‑notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun

Compensation The base pay range is between $66,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year.
