Overview This role supports IT and business-driven projects as a versatile, detail-oriented Business Process Analyst (or Enterprise Business Analyst). The analyst gathers business requirements, analyzes processes, assists with testing, and provides project coordination support. While not the primary project manager, the analyst works closely with the IT Project Manager to ensure project success.
Major Areas of Responsibility Business Analysis
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and workflow analysis.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Develop process documentation, user stories, functional specifications, and workflow diagrams to define project scope.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to identify pain points, process inefficiencies, and areas for automation or optimization.
Conduct cost‑benefit analyses for proposed system changes and recommend solutions that optimize efficiency.
Assist in developing business cases to support new initiatives and technological investments.
Ensure proper traceability of business requirements through development, testing, and implementation phases.
Quality Assurance (QA)
Define and document test cases, use cases, and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.
Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to ensure system functionality meets stakeholder expectations.
Track, document, and manage defects, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues before deployment.
Work with IT teams to ensure that business processes and systems changes are thoroughly tested and validated before implementation.
Assist in defining QA processes and best practices for testing business processes and system changes.
Project Coordination & Support
Provide project management support during key project phases by assisting with requirement documentation, stakeholder coordination, and action tracking.
Collaborate with the IT Project Manager to ensure business needs are clearly defined and addressed.
Track deliverables, dependencies, and action items during key project phases.
Assist in facilitating team meetings, preparing project documentation, and following up on action items.
Support process improvements in project execution by documenting lessons learned and best practices.
Knowledge
Strong understanding of business process analysis, optimization, and workflow documentation.
Experience working with IT systems, enterprise applications, and process automation tools.
Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of testing processes, UAT, and QA best practices.
Understanding of project coordination and stakeholder engagement in IT and business environments.
Ability to conduct cost-benefit and impact analysis for process improvements.
Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of experience in business analysis, quality assurance, or project coordination in IT or business transformation projects.
Experience with business process modeling tools, workflow documentation, and test case development.
Familiarity with UAT testing, Agile methodologies, and project coordination best practices.
Experience working with IT teams, enterprise applications, or process automation tools is a plus.
Demonstrated Physical Abilities Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
